IELTS Exam Eligibility 2024

IDP is responsible for conducting the IELTS exam in India and does not impose strict qualifications for IELTS. However, candidates who wish to take the IELTS exam in India must be at least 16 years old . This age requirement is the only eligibility criteria for the IELTS exam in India and applies to candidates of all genders, nationalities, and backgrounds. The conducting body does not set a maximum age limit. According to IDP Education, there has been an annual increase of 10-15% in the number of IELTS test takers compared to pre-pandemic levels.

The IELTS exam 2024 can be taken by individuals who are at least 16 years old. It is open to people of all nationalities and backgrounds. In some cases, schools may require an IELTS Score for admission, but exceptions can be made for those who are over 16 years old.

IELTS Exam Eligibility by Country

The criteria for taking the IELTS exam 2024 has no connection to the regulations for admission set by foreign universities. Each university has its own unique rules and regulations for enrollment. Applicants must meet other basic requirements to gain entrance. Many renowned universities need applicants to receive a total score of least 7.0 , as well as a score of 6.5 or above in each of the four sections of the exam.
